Christmas (Christmas?!?!)...yeah, that's right...and New Year's Too!

Told you I had a few things from the past to post...so here we go.

Christmas this year was a little more memorable for me than last since I actually was not sleep deprived with a new born. We had a very nice holiday and we all got spoiled as usual. Christmas Eve evening (sounds weird doesn't it?) we go to Nick's parents house, go to church, have a nice dinner, watch a little of the "Christmas Story" marathon, and have a sleepover. The next morning we wake up to presents and Grandma Doc's famous cinnamon rolls. Always a nice time. Up until the morning of Christmas Eve I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off getting everything ready for the big day that once we get to my in law's house, it's so nice just to relax and enjoy.

This year I was told that Miles had an extra special, very large, present that Grandpa Doc had been working on for quite awhile. I was excited and nervous to see what it was. We don't have a lot of extra space for "large" gifts so I immediately began to fret but once I heard that it would be staying at Grandma and Grandpa's I felt much better.

We walk into Grandma and Grandpa's house to find this....

We decided that Miles could open it early, but not until he noticed it himself which amazingly took a few hours. Under the sheet he found a play house that Grandma and Grandpa fixed up for him out of a refrigerator box. Apparently refrigerator boxes are harder to come by then you would think and it took a lot of searching and a lot of phone calls to find one. He had such a good time playing in it and became quite the ham playing peek-a-boo with us and his fancy new doors.

Here we are Christmas morning.

Grandpa Doc got a new stocking this year and him, grandma and auntie Andrea did us a favor this year and went after Thanksgiving shopping for us so we said we would be in charge of filling Grandpa's new stocking. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

Yeah, it's the size of a person!

Christmas evening we went to my parents house and celebrated with my side but I sadly didn't take any pictures. Hate when I do that.

And to finish off 2011 we'll talk about New Year's too. We got to spend it with some really great friends that I've had since high school, their hubby's and kiddos. Two of the boys are a month apart and Miles is about 8 months younger than them so it was really fun to see them play with each other and see that Miles could hold his own with them especially since walking was fairly new to him at this point.

Trouble times 3!
Have you ever tried to take a picture of three very active little boys with accessories? NOT easy!

We had a great time hanging with our kiddos and spending time with great friends. And that my friends wraps up 2011....finally!
