2 Months

Our little Miles turned two months old last week. His little personality is coming out more and more everyday and it is so fun to see. We are definitely developing a rhythm which makes life a little easier for all of us. He is also a lot more content these days which makes all the difference in the world.

Miles at two months:

Weight: 12 pounds, 1 ounce, 60th percentile
Height: 24 inches, 90th percentile
Head circumference: Can't remember actual number, but it's in the 50th percentile

He has found his hands! They are the best things ever to him. He is learning to suck on them and he likes to hold them up proudly to show everyone these wonderful things. Sometimes in the morning I can hear him just laying in the bassinet sucking away on them. The fun thing was that he found his fists for the first time while at Daddy and Grandpa's birthday dinner while sitting with the whole family. It was great dinner entertainment.

The smiles just keep on coming, even for mom! Today my heart just melted when I went to go get him from his bassinet (where he was happily entertaining himself!!!!) and I said "good morning Miles" and he just gave me the biggest grin. It doesn't take much to win me over.

He is cooing a little bit and interacting with people a bit more.

His neck and legs are as strong as ever. He loves to stand on our legs and see the world from that perspective.

He is constantly checking out the world around him, moving his head from side to side and kicking his legs and punching the air with his hands. The doctor said "He's a curious little guy, isn't he? He's going to be so happy when he's able to move around on his own"

He is sleeping consistently 5-6 hours a night!!!!!!!!! (a little happy dance from Mom goes with this one). I feel like a new woman and people have said I look noticeably less tired. That's a great thing! We are going to be trying out some new sleep patterns that were suggested by our doctor yesterday, keep your fingers crossed for us!

Loves playing on his "floor gym" with all the animals hanging around him and a mirror which he seems to have just discovered is him.

We found out this month that his new friend that will arrive in June will be a boy, Hayden, and that he will also have another little friend born in October. We are so excited to welcome more members to the second generation of BtBob!

We had some fun visitors this month... Miss Lauren met him for the first time, Uncle Matt and Aunt Bri came to visit, and Aunt Jenny and friend James came all the way from Texas to meet Miles for the first time. How lucky are we to have such wonderful friends and family?!?!
