Indy, Indy, Indy!

Last month we took a trip down to Indianapolis to visit some friends and hit up the Children's museum. We had such a fun time with our friends and really enjoyed the museum. We were super impressed with the size of the place and all the fun things they had for the kiddos.

Most of all I think Miles liked hanging out with these guys the best....

And he thought it was super cool that he had the same PJ's as a big boy.

And this guy gave him a run for his money. Both little guys are super active and I think Miles met his match in Ryder (who has the most adorable bouncy run. Made me laugh every time).

I wasn't lying when I said the Children's museum was impressive. This is what you see when you drive up to it. Insane!

And Rigg kept talking about "Bumblebee" and I was told it was a Transformer from the latest movies but was not expecting this....

And of course Miles had a great time in the lego, car, and carousel rooms.

Cari and I have determined that we are getting old because we can't seem to even handle a carousel anymore without feeling nauseous. I'd hate to see how my body would react to a roller coaster. Would not be pretty, I'm sure.

While we were there we had one of the most miserable nights sleep we had with Miles in a long time. We shared a room with him; he was in his pack and play and we were in a super comfy bed (thanks Cari and Andy). When Nick and I headed to bed we were so careful not to make too much noise and we actually made it to bed without waking Miles. I then decided to drape a blanket over one side of the pack and play to block some of the sunlight in the morning so we could hopefully not wake with the sunrise. Well that little man must have sensed me (because I was very, very quiet of course) and woke up. It was over. He did not want to lay down at all and was screaming his little head off. Since we were in a house with four other people we didn't want him to wake anyone up so we tried bringing him into bed with us. We've never tried to do this at night so we weren't sure how it was going to work. Well, it didn't work well at all. Every time I thought he was sleeping he would put his hands on my face, snuggle, and sit on me. If I weren't so exhausted, I would have thought it was cute. 2.5 hours later we finally got him to sleep in the pack and play but he was still up at the crack of dawn. So much for my blanket....darn blanket.

It was just really great to spend a few days with friends, catch up, eat great meals, play games, and watch our kids play together. Thank you Chastains for letting us crash your pad. Had a blast.
